Volley | Greber | Tinney | Whitespace
I'm thrilled to be part of Volley, a two-city exhibition presented by Tinney and whitespace, opening this June in Atlanta and Nashville and running through July 25.
The Atlanta opening is at whitespace — 814 Edgewood Ave, Atlanta, GA — on June 13, 7–10pm, with the show up June 13 through July 25. It then volleys north to Tinney in Nashville — 237 Rep John Lewis Way N — opening June 20, 6–9pm, running through July 25.
For this one I'm premiering a new video: LEAVES — an iteration on one of my older Cascade pieces, reworked into a slightly spooky forest-scape. It takes the looping, layered logic of that earlier series and lets it grow over into somewhere else.
It's also the piece now running as the banner across my newly updated website, so the show and the site launch are arriving hand in hand.
The Atlanta roster includes Sophia Belkin, Dan Charbonnet, Hannah Rose Dumes, me, Jack Kenna, Esther Ruiz, Eric Sall, Joey Slaughter, Lauren Taylor, Elise Thompson, Paloma Wall, and Cletus Wilcox. The Nashville roster features Ashlyn Browning, Craig Dongoski, Dana Haugaard, Wihro Kim, Sam Lasseter, Jason Matherly, Kathryn Refi, and Zipporah Camille Thompson.
